Finding the Beauty that surrounds you

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Martinez, CA. After spending the good portion of my morning harvesting and crushing grapes for this year’s harvest, running the usual errands and tending to some household chores, I grabbed my camera and headed to the Martinez Marina and Shoreline Park. It’s amazing the beauty you can find in your every day surroundings if you just open your eyes.

Thursday 13 #1: Something has to change

It was no secret while growing up that reading was my passion. From an early age I could be found, nose in book, escaping from my day to day life into a world where imagination thrived. This will be brief…VERY brief…

I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of the wonderful and amazing women who I had the pleasure of getting to know this weekend. You are all absolutely amazing!

Tamika – I love you. And life without the  most Fabullllasss woman I know would not be a journey I would want to be on.

Tiffany – I am so proud of you for finding your voice…and I am so happy and honored to be part of this journey. And I think you SHOULD cut the hair (just not to Jennie length)

Stasi (aka Aquafina) – You are amazing…(even when you are “tipsy”) and I am so glad to have spent as much time with you as I did. You’ll always be my 1 pinnup girl!

Brit (aka Spigot ~ pronounced Spee-joe) – My sista from another motha! (head nod) “Sup girl. There are more than 8 ways to say how FAB you are. Thanks for keeping me laughing and being my ride or die chick!

I was having an IM conversation with a very close friend of mine about the latest whiny metrosexual she had the displeasure of dining with…apparently said douchebag got all butthurt because she told him they were NOT a match and she didn’t think they would go anywhere; so he has taken it upon himself to start calling her a “fakey user” (gee… I wonder if his penis is as big as the words he chooses…):
