Yesterday was a beautiful day in Martinez, CA. After spending the good portion of my morning harvesting and crushing grapes for this year’s harvest, running the usual errands and tending to some household chores, I grabbed my camera and headed to the Martinez Marina and Shoreline Park. It’s amazing the beauty you can find in your every day surroundings if you just open your eyes.

The following are a few of the photographs taken during my walk.

It was no secret while growing up that reading was my passion. From an early age I could be found, nose in book, escaping from my day to day life into a world where imagination thrived. As I’ve grown both physically and spiritually, my taste has changed and focused more on personal growth than escaping reality.  The following books have been instrumental in my growth (in order of reading):

1.  Charlotte’s Web – E.B. White

2. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe – C.S. Lewis

3. Memnoch the Devil – Anne Rice

4. Essays and Poems – Ralph Waldo Emerson

5. All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned In Kindgarten – Robert Fulgham

6. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – Steven R. Covey

7. The Road Less Traveled – M. Scott Peck

8. The Art of Happiness  – The Dalai Lama

9. The Tao of Pooh – Benjamin Hoff

10.  Yesterday, I cried – Iyanla Vanzant

11. The Celestine Prophecy – James Redfield

12. The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success – Depak Chopra

BEST TYPO EVER!

I was having an IM conversation with a very close friend of mine about the latest whiny metrosexual she had the displeasure of dining with…apparently said douchebag got all butthurt because she told him they were NOT a match and she didn’t think they would go anywhere; so he has taken it upon himself to start calling her a “fakey user” (gee… I wonder if his penis is as big as the words he chooses…):

Here’s a snipet from our conversation because it contains the

BEST TYPO EVER!!!!!!!!

Her: When a person says, “hey you want fancy dinner?’ the correct answer is YES
Me: exactly
Her: he kept offering me things – I kept agreeing – i fail to see how I’m the fake user.
Her: he never said I had to fuck him, pay, or fail in love with him.
Me: ha!
Me: fail in love
Her: WELL HELLO???
Me: BEST TYPO EVER
Her: um.
Her: Oh.
Her: BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Her: that really is the best typo ever
Me: YOU OFFICIALLY GET THE TYPO OF THE YEAR AWARD
Her: no shit huh?
